  LINIT U-Profile Glazing

The LINIT U-Profile glass system is constructed using Lamberts LINIT U-Profile glass secured either vertically or horizontally within a perimeter aluminium frame.

The system can be used in either single, double or even triple glazed, dependant on your project requirements. For even further customisation the system can be installed into curved facades or rake cut with mm precision at the Lamberts factory to achieve sloped facades.

Lamberts LINIT U-Profile Glass is available in 8 standard surface finishes. Each of these are available in all of the standard profile widths in lengths in excess of 7m!

With the option of Ultra Low Iron, sandblasted, tempered or colour enamel to each of these surface textures. The opportunities to customise your project are endless.

LINIT TOUGH HST SAFETY GLASS

LINIT Tough HST is a Toughened Heat Soak Tested Kitemarked U-Channel glass. The glass is kitemarked in accordance with EN15683, which is the only current standard for thermally toughened channel shaped safety glass. This allows for LINIT Tough HST to be used in Critical Locations and circulation areas where safety glass is required.

LINIT Tough is available to all glass surface textures and lengths of 400mm to in excess of 7000mm. LINIT Tough can still be Sandblasted. All LINIT enamel colour glass is toughened during the enamelling process.

In order to minimise the risk or fracture from nickel sulphite inclusions, which can cause spontaneous breakage in fully toughened glass, every piece of LINIT Tough HST safety glass is heat soak tested in Lamberts' heat soak testing chambers for 8 hours. These Chambers are specially designed to test U-channel glass and are subject to regular independent inspection and testing.

LINIT COLOR ENAMEL

ADD PERSONALITY TO YOUR PROJECT

LINIT Colour is Achieved by Enamelling colour into the Channel glass. Coloured cermaic frits are fired at 650 degrees celcius on to the inside surface of the channel providing a colourfast, durable, scrath resistant finish. The process also tempers the glass, making this colourful safety glass suitable for all locations on your project.

The multiplicity of RAL colours available and the option to enamel either one face or all 3 (returns as well) offer the widest choice to customise your project.

LINIT UK GL

GL is a translucent glass fibre insulation material. Designed to be compressed within double glazed LINIT U-Channel Glass to completely fill the cavity.

This allows us to achieve optimum heat insulation (U Value) and reduce solar gain (g value)

The insulation is UV stable, tempertature resistant up to 100 degree celsuis and unaffected by humidity

LINIT UK AEROGEL

Areogel is a revolutionary gel insulation product which will improve the thermal perfomance of your building whilst providing improved light transmittance when compared to other insulation options.

Aerogel combined with LINIT U-channel allows the desinger to achieve maximum light without compromising thermal performance. All the components are non-hazadous, recyclable and enviormentally friendly.

Ug = 1.1W/m2K with just 16mm of Linit UK Areogel

Light transmittance up to 50%.

ENVIRONMENTAL

LINIT U-channel glass is manufactured by Lamberts, a company with an ecological approach to manufacturing and since 2006 the factory has been powered only by green renewable energy.

In 1996 the factory switch to an oxyfuel glass furnace to produce their glass, this type of furnace reduces fuel consumption and reduces nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions to an absolute minimum. A new Oxygen furnace was installed in 2011 and Lamberts are still the only architectural glass factory in the world to produce glass using this oxygas/oxyfuel technology. A sophisticated system of electrical filters reduces particles in waste gasses generated by the glass melting process. The resulting emissions are substantially below strict air quality regulations. Lamberts specialised cooling ponds contain grass eating carp eliminating the need for chemical algaecides.

The amount of recycled glass in Lamberts production is approximately 50-60% for standard glass and approximately 35%-45% for low iron glass (dependant on recycled glass available from the economic cycle and is a mixture of both internal recycling and post-consumer recycled glass). For projects larger than 5000m2 Lamberts can increase the percentage of recycled glass on request and will also certify the amount of recycled glass content.

Lamberts glass is 100% recyclable when it is to be discarded in the future for whatever reason. When recycled, no harmful side effects occur from the melting process. These measures enable Lamberts to offer high quality glass products that successfully contribute towards an ecologically sustainable future for architecture.
