Eel Pie Island, Twickenham Completion

Design shown for Eel Pie Island utilised Linit U-Profiled Channel Glass

J&C Architectural have recently completed our U-Profiled glazing works on a refurbishment project on Eel Pie Island, brightening up a loft space in an area being used for ensuite facilities.

As part of the renovation, the existing solid stair walls were replaced with Linit Ultra Low Iron U-profiled glazing, designed to channel natural light from both a staircase window and a skylight into the two ensuites below. This innovative use of U-Profiled Glass not only enhances the flow of light throughout the space but also brings a modern aesthetic that complements the contemporary feel of the loft.

The usage of U-profiled glass allows light to permeate through the space without compromising  the privacy of the persons using the ensuites.

The result, shown below gives the space a modern contemporary stylish finish.

Our thanks go to South Derry Construction Limited who as Main Contractor kept the site running smoothly, safely and on programme.

J&C Architectural continues to work with our glass manufacturer Lamberts GmbH to provide Linit glass, manufactured from start to finish in their factory based in Germany, and maintaining an 8-week lead time for fabricated U-Channel glass from order to site.

Imperial West Building

Imperial West Building, U-Channel Glass Installation

Our glass repair works at the Imperial West Building in London is nearing completion utilizing Linit U-Profiled Glazing for the necessary repair to fulfil our client’s expectations.

The repair features our 504 pattern, sandblasted ( “matt”) series U-Profiled Glass, creating an obscuring frosted effect to the glass plant screen. You can view this series of  U-Profiled Glass and all other colours and types we offer at the link here: Linit

J&C operatives returned to a project completed in 2016 and worked from the BMU, to facilitate a few storm repair works to the glass plant screen located on the top of the building. These repairs were caused by very high winds. We delivered replacement glass for the broken units to the site within 6 weeks from the design’s release.

We believe the resulting look of the plant screen at the Imperial West Building truly helps tie the look together.
